PowerShaper is a tool to help Community Hubs in Greater Manchester to understand their energy usage, simplify carbon reporting and save money by tariff switching and flexibility schemes. The tool is fully independent, developed by Carbon Co-op (a local non-profit) and is free to use for all community organisations in the city region.

PowerShaper can compare the energy data from your smart meter over the last year against a range of commercial smart and time-of-use tariffs to identify the best options and quantify savings.
Smart tariffs rates change depending on the time of day, which can make estimates based on your bills hard. PowerShaper uses your usage data for every 30min period, to give you an accurate picture.
Download your half-hourly smart meter gas and electricity records, including historic data regardless of any change in energy supplier. This data can build the business case the installation of solar or battery storage, as well as supporting the sizing and likely operational cost of electrified heating
We will never sell your data or share it with other organisations without your express permission. Your data will be kept securely and only used to improve energy savings when it is anonymised and aggregated with others. You are free to opt-out at any time.
We use your postcode for checking your address and linking to your meter.
You can do this either with a bank card registered at the meter address or a code from your energy display (if you have one).
